I am most thankful for him and his team
Dr. Lalin and his extraordinary team are my miracle workers! I’ve needed glasses since the second grade, but after Dr. Lalin performed cataract surgery using the Panoptix multifocal lenses I now see 20-20 from the moment I wake up. My astigmatism, nearsightedness and presbyopia have all been corrected. This surgery has been a game changer for me. I can drive, exercise, read, use the computer with no glasses needed! I’m so grateful to Dr. Lalin, Dr. Kruti Shah and the team! They’re simply the best!

What Are Cataracts?

We all develop cataracts over time that gradually makes your vision more blurry and out-of-focus. By the time, we are in our late fifties, 60s, or 70s, we all develop visually significant cataracts. Think of your cataracts as a natural pair of glasses inside your eyes that over the years, just like a pair of glasses, gets progressively more scratched up and yellow; Effectively, your natural lenses become more and more like a pair of dirty sunglasses. Initially, the cataracts can impact your night driving as the on-coming headlights go from being a pinpoint to more of a starburst or halo effect. You may also feel like you need more light to read as the cataract slowly gets worse. From your standpoint, when you have cataract surgery, you will feel like you removed a dirty pair of sunglasses when you are inside the house and everything will feel much brighter and sharper with a dramatic improvement of your night driving and reading.
Treatment Options

If you have cataracts, you may just require stronger glasses in the early stages to compensate for your decreasing vision. Once your vision starts affecting or limiting your lifestyle, whether its night driving or reading, then it is time to consider cataract surgery. Cataract surgery is a safe, effective procedure that restores your vision and helps you see young again when glasses alone are not enough. Today, modern new lens technologies like multifocal lenses or the new light adjustable lenses(LAL) from RxSight can potentially give you freedom from glasses after cataract surgery. Schedule your appointment today to see how we can help you see better today with cataract surgery.

Retinal Detachment
The retina is the thin layer of tissue at the back of the eye that is essential for proper vision. If you experience a retinal detachment or tear, it's crucial to seek emergency eye care. When it is treated in time, an ophthalmologist can repair the torn retinal tissue and prevent vision loss.
Diabetic Retinopathy
Diabetic retinopathy is a retinal condition that affects people who have suffered from diabetes for a long time. It results in damage to the blood vessels at the back of the eye, which can lead to permanent vision loss. Proper diabetes management and retinal surgery can treat the condition.
Macular Degeneration
Also referred to as age-related macular degeneration (AMD), macular degeneration involves the deterioration of the center of the retinal tissue. There are wet and dry varieties of AMD. Treatments for AMD may include dietary supplements, lifestyle changes, and laser eye surgery.
Macular Holes
Often associated with the aging process, macular holes adversely affect the central area of a person's vision. Early symptoms include distortions and dark spots in your central vision. Vitrectomy and other retinal surgeries can be used to restore better eyesight.
Central Serous Retinopathy
Central serous retinopathy occurs when fluid accumulates behind the retinal tissue. This can lead to distorted vision as well as dark spots in the central vision. Some cases of central serous retinopathy clear up on their own, though prescription medication and laser surgery may be required.
Flashers and Floaters
Have you ever noticed strange little shapes "floating" across your field of vision, or flashes that resemble lightning streaks? If so, then you're one of a majority of people who experience floaters and flashes. These visual quirks are normal and do not usually indicate a serious problem. However, a sudden increase in the number or intensity of flashes and floaters could mean you’re suffering from an eye disorder, like retinal detachment
