Our Optometrist Can Screen For...
Many of us develop cataracts as we age. Removing cataracts from your eyes can dramatically improve your vision and help you enjoy life more. At Retina & Eye Specialists of New Jersey in Hackettstown and Morristown, NJ, our ophthalmologist performs laser cataract surgery. During your eye exam, Dr. Shah can definitively determine whether you have cataracts and recommend if laser eye surgery is appropriate for your case.
Your retina is at the back of your eye and is responsible for turning light signals into images in your brain. When you develop problems with your retina, it can seriously impair your eyesight. Our doctors work together to offer vision-saving eye care to patients with retinal conditions. If Dr. Shah detects a retinal issue during your comprehensive eye exam, she can refer you to our ophthalmologist for surgical intervention, or she can explain non-invasive treatment methods.
Glaucoma is a serious eye disease and a leading cause of blindness in the United States. The key to treating glaucoma is to identify it as early as possible. While there is no cure for glaucoma, early diagnosis allows our doctors to recommend management techniques and put you in touch with the right specialists so that you can maintain your vision for as long as possible. During routine eye examinations, Dr. Shah always checks for signs of glaucoma.

Just had my first visit to Dr. Shah for a regular checkup / eye exam, and I was very pleased. The staff was pleasant and Dr. Shah explained everything in a lot of detail, had great chair-side manner, and I'm very happy that I found this practice. I'll be coming back next year for sure.View More Google Reviews
