Cataracts is a condition which clouds and blurs a patient's eyesight. This condition can seriously impair your vision and even cause blindness. If you are diagnosed with cataracts, we will most likely recommend surgery to correct this issue, which is the only current cure for the disease.
If you suffer from cataracts, Dr. Lalin can perform laser surgery to repair your eyes and restore your vision. Before your procedure, he will use 3-D OCT scans to create a detailed model of your eye. During surgery, he will remove the damaged lens and replace it with an intraocular lens (IOL).
Laser Cataract Surgery compared to Traditional Cataract Surgery
Many patients who suffer from cataracts also struggle with astigmatism, a condition where improperly shaped corneas cause blurred or hazy vision. Fortunately, we can perform astigmatism treatment during laser cataract surgery to clarify and sharpen your vision.
